CBT
CBT or Compulsory Basic Training means exactly that, Compulsory and Basic. It was introduced some years ago by the Driving Standard Agency (DSA) with a view to reducing the number of road accidents and casualties involving young riders. We think that statistics will prove over the past years, that the introduction of the CBT worked, and the number of young learner riders being injured on the roads, has been reduced.
Who Needs One!
Anyone wanting to ride a motorcycle on a Public Road needs to obtain a CBT Certificate. The exception to the rule is that if you already hold a FULL CAR Licence prior to 2001, and you wish to ride a moped under 50cc, then you are exempt. Otherwise, you will have to trot along to your local Motorcycle Training School and book the one day course. Prices for the CBT Course vary, but mostly they are about £80:00 to £95:00 including bike hire for the day.

Our training area is large, safe and secure, our trainers are highly qualified and motivated, and not llike some companies who only run CBT's over a weekend, we can run CBT's seven days a week which means less disruption for familly or work committments.
